Wipe Down Frames and Sills Before Touching the Glass
This is the rule that most DIY cleaners skip — and it's the reason their glass looks dirty again within hours. Window frames and sills are coated in accumulated dust, pollution residue, and in Dubai, fine desert sand. If you clean the glass first, any moisture or movement near the frame will disturb this dust and deposit it right back on your clean glass. Always clean frames first: wipe them with a damp microfiber cloth, spray cleaning solution onto the cloth (not the frame directly) to avoid warping wooden finishes.
Vacuum Window Tracks Before Using Any Liquid
Window tracks collect dense layers of sand, debris, and dead insects — particularly in Dubai's climate. Applying liquid directly to packed tracks turns this debris into a muddy slurry that is very difficult to remove and can stain the surrounding frames. Before any wet cleaning, use a vacuum with a narrow brush attachment to thoroughly remove all dry debris from the channels and tracks.
